Sin City 2 seems like it has been forever in the making. I believe it would have been finished already if they had not held off to wait for Angelina Jolie who now will most likely not even be in the movie. But we will see about that. Anyway we finally have an update about the progress of the film from the man himself Frank Miller.

When speaking to BadTaste.it Miller had this to say, "I can't talk about my projects, because I don't believe a movie is real until I see the title on the screen. There are many things that can go wrong. But I can tell you that I'm very close to begin 'Sin City 2' with Robert Rodriguez. We have to arrange a few things and we'll be back in action."

I really hope thats the case because right now Robert Rodriguez is very busy with all kinds of projects. Plus Frank Miller's upcoming The Spirit does not look very promising at all. So it will probably do him some good spending some more time with Rodriguez. Maybe some of that talent will rub off on him.. We all hope anyway.

Frank Miller is out promoting his new film The Spirit that will be coming out on Christmas Day. While he was doing his rounds he spoke to IGN UK and they asked him about what is going down with Sin City 2. A film that I know I have been looking forward to since the credits rolled on the first one.

"Sin City 2 is written," he told the site. "It's mainly a matter of working out the details of the production. I'm hoping to do it with Robert Rodriguez again in the same circumstances that we did the first one, and we could be shooting as soon as April."

Now I think this is a film that Frank Miller is going to have to do. The Spirit looks like it is going to be one very horrible film. Even the trailers that are supposed to paint the movie in a good light are not that enjoyable and it looks WAY over the top in style with no substance. Only time will tell however when this project finally picks up and hopefully Angelina Jolie will appear as well.
