The Hollywood Reporter says that UNDERWORLD director Len Wiseman is in negotiations to helm New Line's remake of the Carpenter classic ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. The film "will combine an origin story for Plissken merged with the story of the 1981 movie." Gerard Butler will star as Snake Plissken who was originally played by Kurt Russell. The remake was penned by Ken Nolan (BLACK HAWK DOWN).

da čuo sam za to, al legendarni carpenterov bijeg iz ny je nenadmašiv, kurt russel je najbolji u ulozi snakea!
