jebote!
Chan-wook Parkov vampirski film?!
e to se jedva čeka.
I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK mi nije potpuno sjeo, mada je melem za oči :)
ali Vengeance trilogija mi je zakon, pogotovo Mr. Vengance, film zbog kojeg sam i bolje obratio pažnu na azijsku kinematografiju.

It seems that Universal Pictures and Focus Features are so confident in director Chan-wook Park that they are even throwing some change at the production, making themselves the first US studios to back a South Korean film before it's local release. Both studios will co-produce, while Focus hopes to release it to festivals in mid '09.

Thirst Poster Banned in Korea

Image

The image you see on the left - the ad campaign selected for the film - was banned because of its "sexual context." South Korea's Media Rating Board didn't care for it, no sir. You see, Song Kang-ho plays a priest-turned-vamp. So there's a religious angle, too. And when you toss a lovely gal chokin' a man of the cloth, well, some folks get a bit touchy.

While the PR team behind the film was teasing a potential date, it was confirmed this afternoon that Thirst, Park Chan-wook's vampire flick and a recent Cannes jury prize winner, will be released in the U.S. on July 31, the film's North American distributor Focus Features said Wednesday. The screenings start in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York and will gradually expand to include other states for a wider release.
