"- The boy Glen and his best fried Terry accidentally open a gate to hell when a rotten tree is removed from the backyard of Glen's house. When his dog die and a friend of Glen's sister, the teenager Alexandra, buries the animal in the hole, demons from an ancient civilization are released, seeking for two human sacrifices to dominate the world. Glen, Al and Terry, who are spending the weekend alone in the house, fight to save their lives and close the hole."

- I do not recall how many times I have seen "The Gate" on VHS and now on DVD. The funny story has a terrible conclusion, but the special effects were amazing in 1987. This cult-movie is very underrated inclusive in IMDb but who cares? I still love this little gem of the fantastic cinema

- I wasn't expecting much from The Gate, especially as it had a 15 rating on the VHS big box that I have. However, it turned out to be quite a decent cheesy 80's horror flick. It is obviously geared towards a younger audience, but that's OK, because there's plenty of fun to be had. The plot revolves around a "gate" in a boys garden that contains demons. They are trying to escape into the real world. The demons are quite cool looking stop-motion creatures, and the effects are great.
Overall, I would say The Gate is definitely worth a watch if you like a bit of brainless fun.

već me neko vrijeme zanima ovaj film, ali nikako da si ga nabavim. bude me sad valjda ovaj topic natjerao, jer mi jako fali ovakav tip filmova.
poskidala sam si masu 'ozbiljnijih' naslova i ne mogu se prisiliti išta od toga gledati. treba mi trash

kako nema? ima prijevoda za oba dva filma na divixtitlovi...

odličan film moje mladosti.izgleda ko dječji ali ima scareova i zakon je priča i radnja.ima i drugi dio ali ne mogu se sjetiti kakav mi je bio.
ovu jedinicu sam gledao sada prvi put tamo još od 90-e.još uvijek isti feeling još uvijek emocija kao tada kad sam bio 12-godišnji dječarac.he-he

Nisam ni ja još ovo gledao, evo upravo skidam.

moram priznati-nista vise od ok filma za ubiti vrijeme.cak mi je jako dobar,dok "akcija" ne pocne...

nije trash film... Meni je bio baš solidan film, ono ništa posebno, nije niti previše zabavno, ali gledljivo. Počeo sam gledati i drugi dio, ali odustao i zaboravio na film...

Ali debilno je da lik s naočalima s izgledom štrebera kroz cijeli film glumi nekog opakog mračnog nasilnog lika... Cijelo vrijeme se samo cerekam na to kako sluša sotonističku muziku, nosi opaka odijela i slično. A izgleda kao dobra mica.
