In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds...and remembers.

Del Toro wanted the film to honor the "grand dames" of the haunted house genre, namely Robert Wise's The Haunting and Jack Clayton's The Innocents. The director intended to make a large-scale horror film in the tradition of those he grew up watching, such as The Omen, The Exorcist, and The Shining. He cited the latter as "another Mount Everest of the haunted house movie", praising the high production value and Stanley Kubrick's control over the large sets.

Vidim da nitko nije otvorio temu za najiščekivaniji horor film godine po svemu sudeći.
1. Sama premisa i posveta starim ghost hororima.
2. Del Toro. Vizualno će sigurno biti odlično, a za ostalo ćemo vidjeti.

Ajd pokušaj naći temu jer sam i ja mislio da postoji. Napisao sam u search ime filma i godinu i ništa. Onda samo ime filma bez godine i opet ništa, a isto me oprao dejavu

Malo hypea i oko ovog filma da ne bude samo oko Shit Followsa.

Iako moram priznat da mi osobno del Toro nije baš previše šmekao, izuzev Chronosa, Bladea i El espinazo del diablo. Da, ubijte me, ali Panov labirint me se nije pretjerano dojmio, iako mu priznajem da je filmski dosegao s tim filmom vrhunac kolaža i bajkovitosti. Hellboy, a pogotovo Pacific Rim su mi proljevčići.
