Monster Squad REMAKE
Some more interesting news develops from The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor press circuit. Bloody-Disgusting spoke to The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor director Rob Cohen who revealed that Paramount Pictures have acquired the rights to the 1987 horror film, The Monster Squad for a possible remake.
Cohen also noted that while he would produce the remake, he would not direct the film. The original film revolved around a group of kids who join up to fight Dracula and his band of monsters.
We'll be sure to keep you posted on this possible remake as soon as more information arises. Cohen's The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor opens in theaters on August 1.

Povratak Robocopa!
Oživljavanje nekadašnjeg junaka dopalo je redatelja Rekvijema za snove Darrena Aronofskog te scenarista Davida Selfa. Priznatom dvojcu zadan je rok za odrađivanje posla – 2010. godina.
Robocop, policijski službenik koji je pola čovjek, pola robot, nakon 21 godine izbivanja najvjerojatnije će naći u malo mračnijoj i noir verziji, za koju bi scenarij trebao napisati David Self (Put do uništenja).
Producenti koji su prezadovoljni angažmanom redatelja i scenarista ipak priznaju da uspjeh Robocopa nije zajamčen.
"Imamo veliki budžet i legendarnog junaka. Vitez Tame pokazuje da taj spoj može donijeti bolesno veliki profit. Naravno, stvari uvijek mogu poći u krivom smjeru pa da Aronofsky izgubi taj indie chic koji je pokazao. I čudnije stvari su se događale", rekao je jedan od čelnika producentske kuće Phoenix Pictures.

Cloverfield 2 Talk At Comic Con
Ever since Cloverfield was released to the massess people have been wondering about the possibility of a sequel. JJ Abrams has remained very tight lipped about the whole situation and always tries to dodge questions about it. But while at Comic Con promoting his new television series Fringe he was asked about the sequel. He of course was very guarded about the whole thing but /Film heard him say, "There’s something we’re playing with now that may or may not happen. There’s an idea we have that plays with… it’s not a literal sequel.“
Now this could mean any number of things that have been thrown around. But I'm going to assume that it possible that they may go ahead with the idea to follow a different group of people during the same events. That would definitely not be a literal sequel. But I could be entirely wrong. All the same no one knows for sure what is going on but Abrams. But some

Što nije prvotno zamisao bila da se snimi remake? Možda je u naše medije informacija pogrešno proslijeđena; ne bi bilo prvi puta

Smith ponovno kao dr. Neville
Redatelj Francis Lawrance potvrdio je kako radi na nastavku filma Ja sam legenda, u kojem će se Will Smith kao dr. Robert Neville vratiti na – sam početak priče.
Naime Lawrance je odlučio napraviti prequel, odnosno uvod u priču koju je već snimio, a ne klasični nastavak.
"Sigurno je da će se snimati prequel, zasad još smišljamo priču", otkrio je Lawrance.
A čini se da snimanje novih zgoda i nezgoda dr. Nevillea neće biti toliko teško poput snimanja originala kada su morali zatvarati velika područja New Yorka, te tako stvarali kaos među građanima i radnicima.
Naime u novom filmu radnja će se odvijati prije nego su mostovi razneseni, dok su tijekom snimanja originala 2007., kako bi prikazali napušteni New York, zatvarana cijela područja Manhattana. A najnezahvalnije je bilo u području Šeste avenije i Washington Squarea, gdje je u filmu smještena Smithova kuća.

iD Wants a DOOM Sequel
ID president Todd Hollenshead told Kotaku he would like a DOOM Sequel. Frankly so would I. I want a DOOM that doesnt suck-ass. There was alot to like about the concepts of the first one and alot to hate about the movie. The sequel is of course dependant on UNIVERSAL wanting to do it since they own the rights to the film and any sequels but id's CEO told Kotaku;
"Personally I'd like to do another Doom movie, I thought working with it was a blast," Hollenshead said. "There are some lessons we learned. The best way to do things better is to get the experience."
I like what hes saying and the fact he admits their was some learning that was done. Now gimme a DOOM movie that I can love !

Underworld 4
At the end of Underworld: Evolution, Michael (now a hybrid) and the Death Dealer known as Selene faced an uncertain future. This made fans especially voracious for a third chapter, however, they were hit with a modicum of surprise when Lakeshore and Screen Gems announced the anticipated threequel - Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - was indeed a prequel.
Patrick Tatopoulos, director of the Lycan-heavy upcoming chapter, tells us co-creator Len Wiseman "has a concept of what the next film will be" and it may mean a forward progression of Michael and Selene's story. Although, "At this stage, where we're at now, I would personally love to go back to the future. You can explore a lot of things, however, with our film, we've opened the door to other interesting projects. It could be [another] period film."
One thing Tatopoulos is sure of is that the Underworld franchise is no longer largely dominated by the vampires anymore. His installment focuses heavily on the Lycans. "Our film is less sophisticated - not in a bad way. It's more refined. This is a guy film with blood and sweat."
